The Middle and South Andaman Islands are home to Rangat Island. Road travel from Port Blair is roughly 180 km, and sea travel is 50 nautical miles, or roughly 90 km. Rangat covers an area of roughly 1070 square kilometers. The majority of the people living on this island speak Bengali or Tamil, despite the fact that the island's population is made up of speakers of many other languages. The primary occupations of the people living on Rangat Island are farming and fishing.

The best places to visit in Rangat

1. You Must Go to Morice Dera Beach Here, the twin rock displays itself as an unusual but exquisite rock formation. There is a requirement to sign in before entering the location, and the view is amazing. You can either relax and take in the scenery or scale the rocks. This location is quite well-known among the locals and is very lively on the weekends.

2. Go to Ambkunj Beach to Snap Pictures of the Stunning Open Sea - Amkunj Beach is eight kilometers from Rangat, in the Nimbutala town. The lengthy stretch of beach is suitable for strolls and photo ops, but swimming is not recommended due to its limestone structure.

3. The Dhaninallah Mangrove Walkway, also known as the Nature Walkway, is a one-kilometer footpath that winds between the mangrove forests. Discover the several kinds of mangroves while taking a stroll among the towering mangrove trees.

4. Go to Yerrata Creek, which is eight kilometers from Rangat, to discover its lush mangrove plantation. This is where the several mangrove plantations are located. Near the plantation is a jetty from which boats to Long Island can be taken.

5. Take a trip to Raman Bageecha, a particular favorite that is near the mango farm where the name originated. This is Rangat's cleanest beach, perfect for swimming and lounging by the shore. Mango smoothies are a delectable treat if you happen to visit during mango season.

6. Hike to the Panchavati Hills to see the waterfalls there. The Panchavati waterfalls are located outside of Rangat and are open for exploration. We will pass this waterfall on our way to the North Andaman. Depending on the time of year, the waterfall flows. It's recommended to visit this place in the monsoon season.
